With the rise of Coronavirus cases this year, the number of abandoned animals on the streets continues to rise. Why anyone would leave these poor adorable animals in the streets is beyond us.
One of those unfortunate animals is the poor cat in this story. He was left in the streets to fend for himself. Fortunately for this poor kitten, there was this one person who had a kind heart and decided to adopt him.
It was a hot sunny day at San Bernardino, California, when a woman spotted a lonely kitten hiding under her son’s car. The kitten needed shelter from the scorching heat, and under the man’s car is the best place for him to hide.
The poor cat looked malnourished, and the woman decided to call the Cats of San Bernardino, a local rescue that helps stray cats. The local rescue sent one of their volunteers, Janina, to the scene.
Surprisingly, the stray cat was not hostile towards Janina and was accustomed to human presence. The volunteer was able to lure the cat in the cage.
The stray cat was brought to the vet to be examined. Aside from the fact that the cat was malnourished, the vet also learned of its bald spot on his forehead and that he is neutered, which could only mean that he once had an owner.
The kitten’s bald spot was treated, and he is given antibiotics. Throughout the time he was in the clinic, the kitten was well-behaved.
Janina decided to bring the kitten home and named him Valentino. Not long after, Valentino showed affection toward Janina.
A few days later, Valentino’s bald spot started to heal, and after two weeks, he regained enough weight and became healthy.
The once distant stray cat soon became a very clingy one. He loves to cling to his mother and gives her lots of kisses.
