Personally, I love bananas. They are a part of my regular diet and I consume at least one a day.

For most people, this is the same case. Have you ever found yourself eating a banana, and you look over to see your dog begging for a piece? That happens all too often, doesn’t it?

This begs the question, are bananas good for dogs? The answer is, yes. On occasion, dogs can eat bananas.

As long as it is fed in moderation and your dog is not allergic, your dogs can consume this delightful fruit.

On the other hand, when given in excess, bananas can lead to some side effects such as constipation and gastrointestinal upset. If given whole, bananas can create a blockage to your dog’s throat and intestines so make sure to slice is it into tiny pieces.  

To be clear, there are some dogs who love bananas, and some who don’t. So if you find your dog doesn’t like it, it is best to skip it altogether. However, if you do find that your dog likes bananas, it is okay to give them to them as a treat.

Occasional banana treats provide a lot of health benefits for your dogs. And while they do not often need to consume fruits and vegetables to gain nutrients as much as we humans do, it is still best to offer some.

Are bananas good for dogs? Yes, they are. When it comes to providing nutritional value, bananas offer potassium, different vitamins such as Vitamin C and Vitamin B. Manganese, biotin, fiber, and copper are also some of its nutrients.

In addition to that, bananas are also good for dogs who are high in cholesterol thanks to their low sodium and cholesterol content. However, due to bananas? high sugar content, it is not advised for those who are overweight.

You can also use bananas as the base ingredient for homemade dog treats to mix it up. So, sit down, relax and enjoy a banana with your pup.
