Preparation Tips When Giving Mangoes to Dogs
You can feed mangoes to your dogs in a lot of different ways – you can puree it for a nice summer treat. If you are not pureeing the mangoes, it is important to cut them into small pieces to avoid a choking hazard. Otherwise, it can get stuck into your dog’s digestive tract and that doesn’t always turn out so well.
Remember to get rid of the pit immediately. Not only because it’s a choking hazard, but it also contains small amounts of cyanide which is poisonous for dogs.
As for the mango skin, your dog can eat it, sure, but it is difficult to digest and can also cause a choking hazard. So it is best to peel the mango and throw away the skin.
