Even during the holidays, some people can be very awful. In the town of Villa Rica, a pup was found abandoned in a dumpster. The poor puppy was in a terrible condition; she was malnourished. As for the culprit who dumped her there, the police are already searching.
On Christmas Day, a resident of Wilson Mill Townhome went out to take away the trash when he heard whimpering from the dumpster. Local authorities were soon called and informed of the situation.
The poor dog was found inside a bag, malnourished and near-dying due to the cold weather. Upon seeing the state the dog was in, the police officers were horrified. They rushed her across town to the Atlanta West Veterinary Hospital.
Luckily, even though it was a holiday, some vets spent a lot of time tending to this dog. The pup was dehydrated and suffered many complications caused by her malnourishment. She spent days in the hospital, getting cared for until she was well enough to be ready for a new life.
One of her rescuers, Captain Keith Shaddix, decided to adopt her soon after. The Shaddix family welcomed her and named her Miracle. Now, this dog is in a place where she is loved and will not experience the same abuse she suffered in the past.
Her new family made a Facebook page for her to see the progress of her recovery and follow on her journey. Though Miracle is not yet fully healed, she is now in the right direction and will require all the support she can get.
The Villa Rica Police Department is still searching for Miracle’s abuser. PETA is offering a reward to anyone who has information on what happened to Miracle.
