It is hard and tiring to be a nurse and a doctor at these times, especially because of the COVID-19 crisis that we are facing today. Patients infected with the virus keep adding up, and medical personnel gets little breaks.
And to keep going and motivated, nurses and doctors need relaxation and comfort during their breaks. For one intern, he already found one in the shape of a cat.
One Egyptian intern, who is going through nurse training, is quite exhausted. Out of the bushes, a stray cat appeared and approached him and comforted him. A little later, the cat went back to the bushes where she came from.
The intern, Ahmed Flaty, does not get many breaks, which made this encounter even more unique. During one of his holidays, Ahmed was sitting outside, taking his time. Suddenly, a stray cat emerged out of the bushes.
And to the weary intern’s surprise, the cat gave him a friendly and warm cuddle that lasted long enough to energize him. The kitten rubbed herself against Flaty before jumping onto his legs and took a 20-minute lap.
Flaty said that his encounter with the kitten was such a strange occurrence. Commonly stray animals in his country are treated poorly, especially in big cities. So it surprised him that the kitten was so friendly even though he did not offer anything.
After he was comforted by the cat, Flaty felt refreshed and ready to get back to work. Sadly in the next few days, the nurse intern never saw his feline friend. Flaty never gave up looking for his feline friend and still hopes to reunite with his furry friend in his next breaks.
Hopefully, Flaty and the cat will soon meet again, whether on his breaks or any random event.
