A lot of people say that you will always get back to where you once belonged. And without a doubt, you will always go back to a place where you are once treated well—a place you once considered home. That is what happened with a cat named Salami.
Salami is a cat who went back to her friends when she was in need. Last year, during the season of Fall, the cat Salami first arrived at Ida’s house. She was not their cat as she was a Stray cat. She went to the house looking for food. She also met Ida’s cat when she went there.
Ida Floreak lives in New Orleans, USA, along with her cat. She works as an artist, a painter, to be more specific. She said to The Dodo “She came by and she really liked him,”. She also added “They smelled each other and she was more interested in him than he was in her. It was definitely clear that she was here to see him, which was sweet.”.
The painter started to leave food for the stray cat. The cat sometimes visits the gardens of the house where she eats. Ida grew to like Salami. She noticed that the cat was pregnant.
Salami was a free cat. She roams the street and sometimes visits Ida. Her belly seems large, which can only mean that it’s already months since she became pregnant. One day, at around 5 am, she came by the house asking for help. She was meowing, asking Ida for a comfortable and warm place. Ida was a kind woman, so she took her in the house.
The cat started giving birth by 8-9 am. After that, Salami grew attached to Ida as she does not want to roam the streets anymore. Ida was not bothered by it, in fact, she became attached to the cat as well.
Ida adopted Salami. She became part of the family. Ida’s first cat is comfortable with the decision. As for the kittens, Ida already found people who would adopt them.
