“Great carrier. I decided to go with the large, we were able to fit our “thick” 27 lb. pug in with no issues flying Southwest. He had space to turn and lie down but I don’t think a pet any larger would fit. For reference the little guy is 22 inches long (excluding tail) and 14 inches high. We did start training him to get in a few weeks before travel so that he’d be ok in there for a couple hours, this step is highly recommended. We did not see any zipper failure as some have experienced. The bed was very stiff but seemed comfortable, the carrier held its shape when carrying nicely.”

“I don’t know if the larger version of this travel carrier is different, or if they improved the design of the top or put better rods at the top, but there is zero risk of the top accidentally opening if it is closed and secured. It would have easily broken the handle or some other plastic before that lid would accidently open. The rods appear to be metal and it’s very secure. So you can understand my worry – if a bird gets out, it can fly away and our family would be inconsolable. The whole top part comes off easily if needed, just undo the clips. The top door is an added bonus, gets the cats in easily if they are being difficult. The front door is very big and inviting to my cats (most of the time). The top door also latches in very tight and there is no way it will come open if you latch it correctly. Anyone who had the top door open on them when carrying their pets either had a defective door, or the latched it incorrectly. My Vet was even impressed with the carrier when my one cat had to stay over at the Vets for a few days. Also my one cat sleeps in it all the time, she loves it. Great buy, good price.”

Shoulder strap can be used to carry the folded or assembled case. Just really a very attractive product. Minimal scratching at the screen or the canvas as a request to get out has not torn the product, although I have not left the dogs unattended in the crates yet.
