Dogs with wrinkled faces are sure cute but those folds will need extra care.

Many dogs can grow funk in between the folds of skin on their faces or around their tails.

This is especially true for Bulldogs, Pugs, and Shar Peis.

Keeping them clean and as dry as possible prevents bacteria and yeast from growing in there.

Gently clean these out with a baby wipe if needed or a prescription wipe if your vet thinks is a good idea. Gently pat them dry if possible.

Be careful not to rub too hard, wet skin will get sores easily if scrubbed too vigorously.

This should be done daily-weekly depending on how deep the folds are and if they seem prone to collecting moisture from the eyes.
