What Others Are Saying About PetSafe Happy Ride Extra Long Telescoping Dog Ramp

“Fast delivery–quality product—worked as advertised and was the best ramp of all that I checked out and very competitive on price. We used a rubber backed bath mat that our black lab was use to as the non slippery surface was foreign to his feel. Worked real slick. Get your dog use to ramp laying it flat and using treats gradually increase grade.”

“The Solvit ramp is a life saver!!! My Rottweiler tore both ACL’s and had TTA surgery on both rear legs at once. I had no way to get her in and out of the truck to go to the vet. After surgery I had to use a sling to lift her rear to move her around. This ramp was my only way to get her around and it works perfectly. I have it down to where it takes seconds to pull it out and set it up. I can even use it to get her on the front porch. The only thing I can think to improve on it is to make an adapter to lift the bottom up some to reduce angle. When at the vet it was convenient to park next to the curb to reduce the angle. But I highly recommend this and I would buy it again I’m a heartbeat.”

“Excellent product! We bought this after lifting our 75 pound Great Dane puppy was becoming impossible! We love it as well as our Gunner! We have a Silverado pick up and he just runs up and down the ramp to load and unload! No slipping on his part and the ramp stays in place. We also use the ramp to take him on golf cart rides. Our cart has a lift and the ramp works great! I highly recommend this product!”

“Amazing!! Worth the price. I have two labs and lifted Jeep Wrangler. I am a vet tech so I’m always looking for whats best for my babies and I know jumping up and down from high elevations is not safe for their limbs. My 12 year old lab is very arthritic and this is a godsend for him and he is not afraid of it!! The width is perfect and both my boys love this ramp!”

“The ramp is pretty stable – not as much as a solid wooden step ramp though (which she has used for years on another part of the house). My dog (12 years old) didnt like it, so we started with it lying on the floor, with chairs on both sides, and then made her run over it to get a treat which I held in the front and then moved it over to the front of the ramp. After a couple days, we set up the ramp to her favorite spot on the couch, with the chairs on both sides, and she had no problem going up and down if we waved a treat in front of her. In the next few days we will work on removing the chairs and I will update my review, but it looks great now.”

“My little dachshund loves this ramp! We were using a combination of pillows and blankets for her to get up on the bed and it was not working very well. I put a couple treats on the new ramp and she went right up and hopped onto the bed. The only thing I would change would be the carpet color to a darker brown. Maddie even uses it to get off the bed sometimes. It is well built and sturdy and folds up easily if needed.”

this ramp is prefect for our 80# golden retriever with a sore leg. trying to minimize the jumps down from my SUV; the ramp is easy, light and extends plenty enough for the rear or side of my vehicle. I read a review that felt the grit surface was dangerous for dog’s paws, so I got a roll of kitchen-cabinet non-skid liner, some spray adhesive, and put down a layer on both sections. works perfectly

I bought this ramp to try it with my 158lbs Great Dane because he is having joint issues and getting on and off the car has been complicated. Although is not designed for large dogs, it works perfectly. I have a suggestion as an opportunity for product design improvement because the ramp slides a bit from side to side and can fall from the car while the dog is on top ( may not be a problem if used with small dogs). Adding a hook that secures the ramp to the door lock preventing from slipping. I improvised one and so far is working good.

Lightweight and easy to use for this 50+ year old woman. My 9-year old 100-pound Newfoundland was easily trained to use this ramp. My only complaint is the sand-paper grip surface. It would seem a thin layer of indoor-outdoor carpet would be a better choice. My dog’s pads don’t seem to be bothered by the sand paper surface because he does a lot of walking on a variety of surfaces, however, I could see that an elderly dog or one who does minimal walking on multiple surfaces may have issues. I have used this ramp dozens of times so far and it is holding up well and I especially like the sliding design that allows for different height vehicles. Far better than a super-heavy folding ramp I had years ago whose hinge bit the dust.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, here’s 14,000 words! A yard-stick is placed in some of the photo’s to give you a sense for size (the yard-stick does not come with this item). One of the pictures shows how it has a latch that will keep it folded together for easier carrying and transporting it folded up. Very sturdy, high quality product. The only question for me is, would a smaller dog be ok with the feel of the artificial carpet on the ramp? Maybe others with a small dog can comment on this. Mid to larger dogs, beagles, basset hound, setter, found this just fine when led up the ramp a few times on a leash. I suppose a small dog would be easily picked up and put in the vehicle, so this might be a hassle if you only wanted it for a small dog or cat. I have shown it on the side-door and rear door of a minivan, and on the real hatch of a Honda CR-V. It can hook to the rear hatch locking pin (see photo) with an adjustable strap and clip; this wasn’t really needed but its there if you want to be really secure.

We are so glad we purchased this. We have a 150lb Rottweiler and a 90lb Yellow Lab. Both are getting up in age. Our Rottweiler we had to lift him into our 4Runner which was not an easy task. The ramp fits on the back of the 4Runner. Both of them were hesitant at first. We laid it on the ground and had them walk over it a few times and then hooked it up. We dropped treats along the ramp and after 3 times of going up and down it they no longer hesitated. It holds our Rottweiler just fine. It does bow slightly but that does not bother him. We couldn’t live without it now!

Just got it today and used it to take my 11 year old 65 lb dog to the vet in my 2014 Ford Explorer and it worked great! It felt pretty stable to me and she had no problem walking up or down the ramp. She was a little confused the first time walking up but once she figured it out she was good. Going down I could tell she was a little nervous but once I knelt down at the end and called her down she had no issue walking to me. Traction doesn’t look to be an issue at all but it would be nice if the ramp was a little wider. Otherwise I have no complaints, it’s not too heavy or too bulky so I’m happy with the purchase.

What Others Are Saying About PetSTEP Original Folding Pet Ramp

“I purchased this two months ago after having my second aluminum extending ramp fail on me in two years (see my review of that ramp). I rescue, adopt, and rehabilitate giant breed dogs, so this ramp gets a serious daily workout at my house. My dogs range in size from 100 pounds to 200 pounds. I am very pleased with this ramp so far. The surface is a unique rubber-like compound that is the easiest on a dogs paws I have ever seen, while still providing excellent traction. The ramp itself, as well as the hinges, are extremely sturdy, well and thoughtfully designed, and well built. The ramp folds and unfolds easily and safely. The ramp is about average weight for a ramp this size, and no easier or more difficult to use than any other comparable ramp, though I find this folding ramp easier to use than the extending aluminum ramps I have had in the past. This ramp cleans easily, as well. The ramp is wide enough for my giant breeds, though I wouldn’t want it any narrower, and would appreciate it if it were an inch or two wider. Still, I haven’t had any dogs slip of of this ramp, even those dogs with arthritis. In my 23 years experience with dogs ramps I definitely recommend this ramp over any other.”

“This was the second pet ramp that I ordered. I had to send the first one back (SolveIt brand) because it was total garbage for the exact same price. All the other ramps beside this one were made with sandpaper that cut my dogs paws and provided no traction for climbing. The PetSTEP is designed more intelligently, made of rubber with horizontal ridges that make it easy for your dog to climb and not slip. It also has guards on the sides, and provides good width. My dog who just had knee surgery was having a hard time getting into my Toyota highlander, and this ramp has really helped her regain confidence about going for car rides. It also has a 5 year warranty, and doesn’t look like it plans on giving out any time soon. I walked up it (170 lbs) and it felt very stable. I saw that people complained about the weight and size, but it isn’t any bigger or heavier than the first ramp I ordered – just a lot higher quality. Overall, good product that your dog can use for a long time.”

“We have an 11 year old yellow lab that has a bad sprain on her hind leg. We live in our motorhome which has 5 steps. We had to lift her in and out of it. I decided to get the PetStep as it had good reviews. Daisy started using the PetStep on the first day. I like the grooved surface. She can easily climb up and down even on rainy days. It also helps her to get into our jeep. It is easy to place on the steps. Instead of using the spring, which comes with it, to keep it closed, we went to home depot and got a Velcro strap which works much better. I’m very pleased with the PetStep and would highly recommend it.”

What Others Are Saying About Upgraded Pet Dog Car Step Stairs

“The fabric is stretched very tight and stable for a dog to walk on. The ability to stretch it out into a ramp as well as stairs is also nice. I’m a trainer and bought them for a tripod dog I’m working with and if any dog would be hesitant about stairs it would be a three legged dog. He’s on the larger side too, about 70 pounds and has no problem with them. The only thing I would suggest to those buying them is before you start using them to remove the little end caps and super glue them in because they do come out very easy.”

“Very easy to use, light weight with storage/carry bag. Fully assembled. Perfect height for my Jeep Gladiator and took only one time to get the dogs up and down the stairs. I recommend this!”

“This is made with great quality and fits my 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe sport! My dogs were hesitant at first but my lab got thw hang of using it but my husky is still a chicken. I bought it since the both are do lazy/scared to jump in and out of the cargo but clearly it didn’t help with my husky cause he is too stubborn lol but with a treat my lab got the hang of it and uses it.”
